Non-fused collars and cuffs

This means that they glue the interlining to the shirt cotton. They argue that it keeps the collars and cuffs flat. However, a well made non-fused collar and cuff will always look better than a fused and will still lay flat when ironed.

A split yoke allows the shirt to easily be modified to fit unusually dropped shoulders. More importantly, it also allows pattern matching between yoke and sleeves and creates a nice looking chevron effect adding style to the shirt.
Single needle stitching
A quality custom English dress shirt will not have stitching less than 15 stitches per inch. The ideal single needle stitching has 20 stitches per inch that ensures the seams will be durable and makes the stitching less noticeable. English dress shirt is symbol of superiority; you will never find side seams made with dual needles in English shirts.
Pattern Matching
The patterns are perfectly matched in English dress shirt. Collars, plackets, yokes should all be pattern matched. You will never find any English dress shirt without matching.
Butterfly gusset
These days’ different types of dress shirts have horrible triangle of material as a gusset strengthener. However, in good quality custom English dress shirt, a hexagonal butterfly is always used.
High Quality fabrics
Last but not the least, the English dress shirt always has high quality of fabric. You will never find an English dress shirt with low quality fabric. The English dress shirts have cotton fabric and the best cotton fabrics come from Italy and Switzerland. While looking for English dress shirts, you will always find 2-ply cotton and the yarn count for all kinds of fabric must be above 100s.
